Choo Led Sin, M.TCM, L.TCM, LAc

President of Professional Manipulative Therapist Association

Certified Spinal Manipulation Therapist

Our founder, Choo Led Sin graduated from Singapore Institute of Chinese Medical Studies in 1995, and completed his Master's degree in Chinese Medicine from Anhui University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (PRC). He is the student of Professor Doctor Yang Jun (Chinese: 杨骏教授), Dean of Anhui Chinese Medicine General Hospital of China (Chinese: 安徽中医院院长). He obtained his Spinal Manipulation certification (No: TNZJ010112200146) from National Health Industry Committee of China.

Spinal manipulation is a therapeutic intervention performed on synovial joints in the spinal column. The most commonly cited of these are the zygapophysial joints. However, the occipitoatlantal, atlantoaxial, lumbosacral, sacroiliac, costotransverse and costovertebral joints are also synovial joints of the spine that may be manipulated.

The roots of spinal manipulation can be traced all the way back to the beginning of recorded time. Writings from China and Greece written in 2700 B.C. and 1500 B.C. mention spinal manipulation and the maneuvering of the lower extremities to ease low back pain.

Hippocrates, the Greek physician, who lived from 460 to 357 B.C., also published texts detailing the importance of spinal care. In one of his writings he declares, "Get knowledge of the spine, for this is the requisite for many diseases".

Our founder, CHOO LED SIN is one of the few Singaporean who obtained certification in Spinal manipulation by National Health Industry Committee of China.

Spinal manipulation can treat or reduce most spinal related pain (eg. neck pain, back pain, tennis elbow, slip disk, hip problems, knee pain etc.). Choo has more than 20 years of clinical experience in manual therapy and sports related injuries. He is one of the few TCM practitioners in Singapore who are bilingual in both Mandarin and English, in fact he is a lecturer in sports injuries therapy in both languages and an assessor (examiner) in this industry since 2002.

Important note: It is important to engage a qualified practitioner when you wish to have your spine be adjusted or manipulated. There are reports on stroke related diseases when doing spine manipulation. Please visit www.neck911.com for more info.
